Hello everyone,

I've decided to organise a Leeds Meet. This is open to all anime/lolita/cosplay/manga/comic book/gaming anything else, fans! The day will consist of the usual meet up kind of things - a trip around related shops, maybe an activity in the afternoon (cinema, bowling etc.) It will also consist of a meal, (likely to be a Japanese restaurant, and will finish with a round of drinks somewhere for those who are 18+.

The details are still fairly sketchy at the moment, but I will let you know as soon as solid plans and schedules are made. I'm hoping to have different things throughout the day, so you can come and go as you please. (Hopefully this will leave time for everyone to attend.)

Since meet-ups are always on a weekend, I've decided to make this one mid-week for those who are constantly unable to attend (simply if they work or are busy at weekends.) This meet will take place on the 10th August 2010, which is a Tuesday.

I will be cross-posting this across a few forums that might be interested, I hope that's okay!

If anyone wants to help me organise this then please PM me, there has already been some interested/offers of people helping me so that's great, please PM me and I'll make it official.

I'm from Bradford, but my knowledge of Leeds is pretty good. If you need any help with transportation, don't hesistate to ask.

When we get more people in, we can arrange times and stuff since people may be getting train.

It'll also be useful for people who are organising to post contact information i.e mobile etc. closer to the date so we know what's going on, I'll do that soon enough.

I only live in Wakefield and I studied Philosophy for three years at the University of Leeds. I'm on leave for four whole weeks and I am rapidly becoming bored. Well Joe it's good to know a fellow Philosopher is coming to the meet up. I enjoy reading up on Philosophy too. So if I keep mentioning Socrates throughout the day you'll know who I mean.

Unfortunately I can't do this anymore because work have given me a shift. They have never given me a shift for the one and a half years I've worked there but they suddenly decided to give me 3 extra shifts for no reason. I'm really sorry about this, but I've only just seen the schedule and there is really nothing I can do about it. :/

I know, I'm so sorry. I actually have no idea why they have given me a shift, like I said, I've NEVER had a Tuesday shift... As you can properly tell I'm quite annoyed at my employer right now. Yamada, if you have the time or you want to then please feel free to take over the meet, however I don't want to put you under any pressure at all so it's totally up to you. Your meet will be soon anyway so it would be easy to direct people to that ;

Mate I'll still be there. I'm sure we'll cope without the cute-ifying effects of Misa. Seen as I has just moments ago got my badge to Amecon, but have no costume or accommodation, I'll be using Tuesday as a bit of a shop-a-thon. I need a whole team of cospalyers to pimp me out!!

Guys I've probably left this way to late seen as the day of the event is only 10 minutes away. I'm coming into Leeds tomorrow to buy some buttons for my costume, which I started tonight
