I doubt Matt would be boring, but I agree to a point.

It would be best to get guests who haven't appeared in the UK before, or at least not at one of the two UK summer cons or London Expos.

Yeah, that means I'd prefer no Vic, no JYB, no Brad Swaile, no Chris Patton... I like the voice actors, but I'd like someone different. Vic Mignogna definitly no, the con would just become full of obsessive Vic Fangirls, and any guest panels would just become Vic panels. (I've seen it happen before)

I make an exception for Monica Rial, since she's almost part of Amecon. :)

You say no one who has appeared at the last two summer cons or the London Expo, but everyone you havejust listed have only been at the London expo. I'm from up north and can never make the expos, only the summer cons and seeing any one of them just once in my life would be a dream come true even though it might not be for others. Not everyone can afford to go to all the cons either and do just the summer one too.

they contradicted themselves anyway they said 'nobody who has been to one of the two summer cons or an expo' an then said 'Monica Rial' at the end who has been to most amecons, you cant have 1 rule for 1 guest and another rule for the rest :P

To be honest, I'll be quite greatful with any well known voice actor, I'm quite shocked to hear people not wanting Vic Mignogia, or Monica Rial!

But then, I've never met a voice actor, so maybe I'll just stay of this fight...

But like I said, I'll be greatful with whoever is chosen in the end :)

Well Monica is Monica. She's very much an Amecon mainstay (if I recall she was also pencilled in as to go to the one she missed, but had to call it off since something came up)

I'm just aiming for some variety.

It's not that I don't want Vic. I have huge respect for his voice acting, despite him having become more of a marketting tool in more recent dubs, but with Vic comes baggage. If there are multiple guests he will completely take over any panel. Due to his insane fangirls he upstaged even Spike Spencer, not an easy thing to do.

I'm happy with anyone, but would prefer some variety.

As I said before, I can understand this sentiment, and I do actually agree with it. Though at the same time, we may not necessarily be as bad as some fangirls can get in America. Also, hopefully we're slightly more grown up than that. ^^;;

I do agree, however, that a crowd of fangirls would overshadow both the achievements of other voice actors that might be there, and would also probably make it harder for people to ask more serious questions. I, for instance, would want to ask the question I asked Mr. Mercer last year, to get another (slightly more mainstream) actor's response. Naturally, I would most likely feel put out, if my question was constantly ignored for "I love you, Vic" or "What's your favourite colour?" (Somewhat harsher of me, on the second one, but I shall stand by it.)

Its a long shot but the one person I want to meet most in this world (screw the celebs) is Sherry Lynn. She did Kiyone from Tenchi Muyo. TM is my favourite anime of all time, and is Kiyone my favourite character. T'would mean so much to meet her ;_;

Also, would like to suggest Petrea Burchard (who did Ryoko), Kate T. Vogt (who did Washu), Matthew K. Miller (who did Tenchi), or Jennifer Darling (who did Ayeka) - All did voices in Tenchi Muyo

Gotta agree with Kate and Matt, excellent choice! 'cause I'm a TM fan too. Sub and dub

I don't watch dubs so I have no idea about any of the english VAs, so it doesn't interest me in the slightest, tbh.

Seiyuus I have a mild interest in, but really I'd much prefer other guests of cultural importance such as bands, singers, people that make stuff. I just don't care for VAs. Like when Aya got Momoi, whilst I'm not a fan, it was still an interesting guest.

Oh Caitlin Glass would be a superb choice. A voice actress in many popular series, and a director as well. Plus, she's a fan too, so it goes around full circle. :)

Someone probably said this one already but Mr Vic Mignogna would be nice, as well as Johnny Yong Bosch, though I've met the latter before at the London MCM Expo. Oh, the lady who did the make-up tutorial at Aya too, JoEllen Elam,and this time I'd record the panel so I could accurately recreate the look she did on me. Greg Ayers too would be cool. Well, there's my 2cents as they say :).

One random suggestion, that perhaps doesn't make that much sense as his link with anime is rather tenuous, is Doug Walker; a.k.a. That Guy With The Glasses a.k.a The Nostalgia Critic, a.k.a. Chester A. Bum. Hey he did Youmacon! ;)

I'd also love to meet Gina Biggs, the awesome artist behind Red String; but I don't know if she's a big enough name for you to pay to come over. It's a shame, she's awesome, I've love her art since I knew her as a Sailor Moon fan artist, before Red String; she does great Harry Potter and Doctor Who fanart too.

Trying to think of a different suggestion to those that have already been mentioned
I'd love to meet Mika Kanai and Anna Cummer, both voice actors of my favorite character Vanilla ^_^

Mika Kanai has also done voices for Hōjō Satoko (higurashi),Kaguya Sumeragi (code geass) a couple of sailor moon characters and Yūkimaru (as I know there are lot of Naruto fans)

well thats my contribution *crosses fingers and hopes* ^^;

I would love to see Kari come back again, she absolutely made the whole weekend for me last Ame and I know a lot of people missed out on seeing her cause of the problems with the signings.
In terms of new guests, I would absolutely love to see Jason Douglas, Crispin Freeman, Spike Spencer and Steven Blum. :3

I'd like to add my support for all of these but especially Kari Wahlgren, Spike Spencer, and Steve Blum! Especially Steve Blum!

Out of curiosity, how long before a convention do guests usually get announced? I know Aya announced Halko Momoi as their first guest for '09 in early June last year. Is around two months before usually when these things get revealed?

i am disapointed that nobody has mentioned Travis Willingham yet. he is awesome, especially when armed with a Nerf gun. and i want to ask him 2 things, 1: the pudding story. and 2: if he's managed to kick his own butt (Roy mustang) yet on the fullmetal Alchemist DS game

Most of the ones mentioned I'd agree with, but one I'd love to come just because she's lovely, is Cristina Vee - well known more for her fansongs, but also has done VA work (namely Nanoha from MGL Nanoha, Kanaria from Rozen Maiden Traument and Louise from Familiar of Zero, as well as VG work, my fave being Noel from BlazBlue) and she's also a legit fan so definitely would be a lot of fun.
