Okay this may well fall through completely, but I was wondering if any of us Northerners would like to meet up one Saturday in July to hang out before the convention? Take a look around Forbidden Planet, Travelling Man, AnimeZ and other places and catch a bite to eat? I'd lean towards Japanese food, but I realise not everyone likes it.

I'm saying Saturday as AnimeZ and several other places are closed on Sundays, and midweek isn't really doable for me. So anybody up for this? And if so which Saturday? I realise the 17th probably would be best avoided as both the London Film and Comic Con and BroCon are that weekend and people may well be attending those. This would probably wind up being a day time meet, probably noon till about six pm or so.

Ohhh, we would be interested~! ** It would need to be later on a Saturday though, like maybe 2pmish as my fiance works till 12 on Saturdays...is that any good? Also, we have an 8 month old but if it was just for a couple hours I could probably get my mom to babysit! It would be nice to meet up with some other northern anime fans~!

Well I was planning on it being a mid afternoon - 6pm thing so it wouldn't be really long. You're welcome to bring your baby with you but it depends on if you want to wander around Newcastle with a 8 month old, which could be either great or tiring.

Great! I hope to get a date decided upon shortly. I've been in contact with some friends who are also Ame attendees myself, we are just trying to get a date when there is the least conflict.

Well we could have it later, I have a poll set up for dates. I could have a bigger meet up later on and a mini one on the 17th as the 17th is rather close admittedly. It's just a friend of mine will be away from the 22nd. So if others would prefer another date, a 17th mini meet could still be doable too.
