Since the last convention I went to, I found myself a job where I work at home. Needless to say I now have money and shelf space in my office.
A dangerous combination.
..it doesn't help that all of my Gundam have now migrated to the office - so I'll be looking for some good kits.

anbd a couple of others I cant recall to hand.
the list always looks short when you have it in words. I blame people like SSC and UP having 5 tables each! Otherwise known as "the same dealers you get every year, minus a couple of fan dealers who have been replaced with new fan dealers". Notable exclusions this year include ADV, Tokyo Toys, Sweatdrop and Manga Ent who are not in attendance.

Yes, now that they have thier store. Its less of a big deal. Plus Ame has 1200-1500 attendees. Expo by comparison has in the regions of 10000 or whatever. For the cost of putting people up in accomodation to run the store, being short staffed at thier actual store and the travel costs. its not as worth it as it was several years ago. Manga occasionally do the same, they feel that reaching out to the fan run cons isnt worth it as by and large the attendees are already product aware. they fare better getting new fans who might not already be buying manga ent stuff at the Expos.

As always Gundam Mad will be there - as this is by far our favourite show, which has special place in our hearts!
We'll have a huge stand with a massive selection of kits and you can have your photo taken next to 'Fred' our 1/12th scale Char's Zuku II.

Don't forget that you can order online at your convenience and collect from the show.
As ever, we are looking forward to meeting up with all friends and customers for a good chat.
See you there! <eek! can't wait!>

PaperCranes cosplay and Rosedolls are sharing a table!
I can't speak for Rosedolls on specifics, but she'll be bringing along BJD clothes as far as I know.
Papercranes is bringing:
cosplays (theme this time is "school uniforms" - Angel Beats, Bleach, CCS, Code Geass, Haruhi etc)
embroidered patches (please ask if you want any custom made, they don't take me long)
and hopefully a selection of handmade BJD clothes!
We hope to be quite easy to find with my two lovely assistants Nanoha Takamachi and Siesta 00

Hey, I don't sell tat! I sell... OK, I sell tat.
I'll have phone charms, keyrings, fans, plushies, figures, gashapon, pens, pencils, bookmarks, bags, badges, candy, hair pins, stickers, cute sticky tape, lip balms, toothbrushes, and various other cute and bizarre Japanese items, plus a whole load of cheap second-hand manga and games

Never a problem with UP having 5 tables! Love 'em and their variety of goodies
Now the big question, what day will the dealers open? Don't want to haul around a ton of cash on the friday and find the dealers aren't open till saturday

Well Lucky you, because you can find out now.
Dealer room opens at 10am on SATURDAY. It is not open on Friday.
Simply put, people are not spending enough money in the dealer room these days to warrent the dealers taking time out from their day jobs, putting up staff in accomodation for 3 days. The amount of money spent over the weekend stays the same, so its better for the dealers to concentrate that into 2 days than spread it out over 3 and have them sitting in an relatively empty room being bored. The request for the hours came from the dealers themselves and after observing dealer room takings for the last 6 or so years and watching the decline we all aggred that having a 2 day opening would suit us all better.
