AmeCon is proud to announce our guest line up for AmeCon 2010. This year we will be graced with the presence of Brad "I'm not Kira - honest" Swaile and resident Japanese culture expert Akemi Solloway. Here's a little information about our guests:

Brad Swaile
In central Vancouver, born and raised. Brad began acting in Elementary school and would be for the rest of his days - Okay we'll stop with that. But yes, Vancouver born Brad started his voice acting career at a young age with his first major role in a children's TV series. He later landed several anime roles as Mousse from Ranma 1/2 and several characters from various Gundam series (Amuro, Quatre, Dearka and Auel). He has also played Adult Gohan in Dragon Ball Z (Uk & Canada dubs) and more recently played the devious mastermind Yagami Light in both the DeathNote anime and live action movie. Akemi Solloway
No stranger to AmeCon, Akemi Solloway will be returning in 2010 for more amazing Japanese culture panels. For those who have never met Akemi before, she's the daughter of an old Japanese samurai family and grew up with strong traditional values. Since then, she has studied several oriental tradition and etiquete subjects and is a lecturer and consultant in this area. She is also the organiser of the Japanese Art Festival and founder of AJAMCA, the Anglo-Japanese Anime and Manga Cultural Association.
 

Wendy Powell
Wendy Powell has B.A in theatre from Texas Christian University and has worked for Funimation Entertainment, as a voice over actress for over 9 years. She is probably most well known for a little villain named Envy on Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. She also plays the role of Ilena in Claymore and Miss Merry Christmas in One Piece. Her most challenging role this year was your role of Iku in Shirguri, you need to watch it to know why! Wendy is also known for smaller parts, in which she usually dies a most painful death. Some of her credits include: Emi in Baki the Grappler, Amick In Blue Gender, The Fever Demon in Shin Chan, Kyo’s Mother in Fruits Basket, and Kasuga in Negima, Hevlaska in D.Gray-man, Paula "Lady Death" in Trinity Blood and Cecilia in Murder Princess. She has also voiced characters in: Kiddy Grade, Case Closed, Yu Yu Hakusho, Peach Girl, xxxHolic, Galaxy Railways, Rin, Tsubasa, Gunslinger Girls, Moon Phase, Glass Fleet, Tower of Druaga, Sgt Frog, Soul Eater and many others. Video Game credits include: Spikeout, Fullmetal Alchemist, Curse of the Crimson and Broken Angel.
